ALOFI
Terms of Service
The rules for using Alofi, including calling, rented numbers, credits, subscriptions and recordings.
Last updated: September 15, 2026
Who provides Alofi
Alofi is provided by Flarely e.U., owned by Severin Hilbert, Herbert Rauch-Gasse 16, 2361 Laxenburg, Austria. You can contact us at [email protected]. These terms apply to the Alofi app and its related services. The website itself is available without an Alofi account.
What Alofi provides
Alofi lets you place calls using verified caller IDs, rent available phone numbers, receive calls and text messages on rented numbers, manage voicemail, and, where available, record calls. Availability depends on your device, network connection, destination, rented number, applicable telecommunications rules, and our providers. Alofi does not provide emergency calling and must not be used to contact emergency services.
The app shows a review before an outgoing call and a review before a number rental. Prices, availability, and verification requirements can change. We present the current amount in credits before you commit to a paid action.
Your account and verified numbers
You must be at least 18 years old to create an Alofi account or buy, use, or rent paid services. You must provide accurate information, keep access to your device and account secure, and use only numbers you control or are authorized to use. We may require you to verify a phone number before using it as your caller ID. A rented number may require identity, address, or business verification before activation. You must provide genuine, current documents and promptly update information that becomes inaccurate.
A phone number is a limited-use service, not property that you own. Do not assume that a released number can be recovered. You are responsible for telling your contacts when you stop using a number.
Acceptable use
Use Alofi lawfully and respect the people you contact. Do not use the service for fraud, harassment, threats, impersonation, unlawful automated traffic, unsolicited commercial messages, or any activity that violates a provider's or telecommunications authority's requirements. You must comply with local rules for caller ID, recording, consent, and contacting others. We may refuse or suspend an action that is unlawful, abusive, or technically unsafe.
Credits and purchases
Alofi charges for eligible services in credits. You can buy one-time credit packs or a monthly or yearly subscription through the Apple App Store. The App Store displays the actual price and currency for your storefront and handles payment, subscription management, and applicable purchase refunds. Credits are service units and cannot be transferred between accounts, exchanged for cash, or used outside Alofi.
Credits bought in a one-time pack do not expire while your account remains active. A subscription grants a monthly credit allocation during its paid period. Unused subscription credits expire at the next monthly allocation boundary or when the paid period ends. A yearly subscription provides monthly allocations throughout its paid year; cancelling renewal does not remove allocations already due during that paid year. The app shows your current balance and the applicable offer before purchase. If the account or service ends, unused credits cease to be usable, to the extent permitted by law. This does not remove any mandatory right to repayment of prepaid telecommunications credit or any other statutory refund right.
Call charges
Before an outgoing call, Alofi shows the rate for the complete destination and selected verified caller ID. The rate is checked again when you start the call. We reserve credits for the time you can afford, charge each started connected minute, and return any unused reserved credits after the call ends. An outgoing call that is never connected has no usage charge. A call can end when the funded time or other service limit is reached. Different caller IDs and destinations can have different rates.
Incoming calls to a rented number and voicemail use the incoming rate shown for that number. A missed call without voicemail has no usage charge. Voicemail can consume credits for the greeting and recorded message.
Rented numbers and incoming messages
A rented number has a monthly charge in credits, which is shown before rental. The first month is charged when the number is activated. Alofi attempts to renew an active number on its calendar anniversary using available credits. The price may change before a later renewal; the app will show the updated price and may notify you. If funds are insufficient, the number can be released after the warning and grace process shown in the app. You can request release of a number in the app; release is final once processing begins.
Receiving a call or text message on a rented number may have a separate usage charge. Alofi currently receives text messages and does not offer sending them. Incoming text charges can depend on message length and carrier billing. A message already delivered to your number can create a credit amount due even if your balance is insufficient at delivery.
Recordings, voicemail and summaries
You are responsible for obtaining any consent required before recording a call. Alofi provides a recording announcement, but it does not replace your legal duties. The app may create a written summary of a saved call recording and a transcript and summary of a voicemail. These automated outputs can be wrong or incomplete; listen to the audio before relying on them. You can delete saved recordings and voicemail through the app.
Subscriptions, refunds and withdrawal rights
You can manage or cancel an App Store subscription through Apple's subscription settings. Cancellation stops the next renewal, subject to the terms shown by Apple, and does not itself reverse charges for a period already paid. Ask Apple for a refund of an App Store purchase through its refund process, or contact us for assistance. If Apple refunds or revokes a purchase, its associated credits can be removed and future subscription allocations stop. Credits already spent on service may create an amount due that is applied before new service can be used.
Nothing in these terms limits a consumer's mandatory rights, including any statutory withdrawal, conformity, or refund rights that apply to a particular purchase. Any withdrawal exception for digital content or a service that starts early applies only if the legal conditions, including any required express consent and acknowledgment, are met.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Alofi available, but calls and messages can be affected by network failures, number supply, provider outages, regulation, or maintenance. We may update the app and service to maintain security, legal compliance, or functionality. If a material change affects an active paid service, we will provide the notice and remedies required by applicable law.
Suspension and ending service
We may suspend or end access where needed to prevent abuse, fraud, unlawful use, or a serious security risk, or where a provider or authority requires it. We will take the circumstances and your lawful rights into account. You may stop using Alofi, cancel subscriptions through Apple, and request release of rented numbers. Ending use or releasing a number does not reverse charges for service already supplied. Unused credits on an ended account cease to be usable, subject to mandatory repayment or refund rights.
Responsibility and legal rights
We are responsible to you where applicable law requires it. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for intent, gross negligence, personal injury, or mandatory consumer remedies. To the extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for losses caused by your unlawful use, an incorrect number you entered, or failures of networks and devices outside our control.
Law, complaints and disputes
Austrian law applies to these terms, without removing mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Mandatory rules on court jurisdiction remain unchanged. If something goes wrong, contact [email protected] so we can review it. For disputes concerning communications services, you may refer an unresolved complaint to the Austrian regulatory conciliation body, RTR, where the statutory procedure applies. We participate where law requires it; we do not undertake to join other voluntary alternative dispute resolution procedures. Your right to bring a claim before a competent court remains unchanged.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the service or law changes. We will identify the effective date when we publish a new version. Where a change materially affects an ongoing paid service, we will notify you in advance as required by law.
